Hey guys I've got a 99 LS1 that I got a great deal on but it has high miles 60K to be exact. Now I got it because it was a decent deal and my dad is a coworker with the owner and this guy babied the **** out of the car. So my question is if I take care of it and race at the track 2 or 3 times a year how many miles can I expect to get out of it..mind you I own a toyota celica with 186K on it and its runnin' like a top (I'll be a slow top) w/NO money into except for oil changes and regular maintenance. Any input would be great. I want 150K at least! Is this reasonable?

I bought a 98' TA with 101,000 miles that I put all the bolt ons on and a TNT 100 shot. After ******* it for 5000 miles someone bought it from me. It ran nice. I was just as fast as other cars with equal mods - I could not tell a drop in power and did not ever have any mechanical failures.

Email "Fireball" about the reliability of an LS1 LOL.
He has beat the living DOGSHIT out of his motor, and it's still truckin with ~70K on it. When I say beat on in, that's a serious understatement. Probably 300 bottle of nitrous, 400-500 passes at the track, who knows how many on the street, endless dyno runs, etc......
Keep your car maintained, and you will have ZERO problems for a long time.
