Broken Engine Temp SENDER need part # PICS INSIDE

I need the part # for this, once I cleared the SES it hasn't came back, besides the temp gauge not working and it seems like its trying to hunt for an idle a little is it ok to drive like this?

If it's to the immediate left of the #1 plug it's some sort of temp sensor, maybe head temps. It is plugged into the head.
Call Jim Norman at Jennings Chevy in Glenview on Waukegan and ask for the MFBA discount. He's excellent at figuring out which part you need and MFBA gets parts for 10% over cost. Might take a week or so to get it.

thanks john thats it. I knew it was something to do with a temp sensor considering the temp guage isn't working anymore I don't understand why it would make the car harder to start and hunt for an idle though

I experienced this the past 2 days after breaking mine this past weekend. The car would start fine when cold, but act like it was flooded when the engine was hot. It didn't want to start. Things are back to normal after replacing the engine coolant temp sensor last night.
