No siding here, but i think this is a good way to get a more comparable reference to idle quality, of each cam. Most of us Tech fans understand that increased compression will boost vacuum readings and hi elevation will affect readings also. This vacuum info will standardize comparisons, i say the more responses the better.

Terry I think u forgot that my CARTEK 224 Cam
produces 1in MORE vacum than your GIANT 229 CAM at 925 compared to your 950 idle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

<hr /></blockquote>My idle is set at 875-900rpm. At the time I measured 15.5" out of gear, it was at 890rpm actually. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> It sounds like your cam is the same size as mine in terms of idle quality?

I'm too lazy to look it up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I'm sure your car pulls more vacuum, I'm just trying to get a list going. I want to know where the TR 224 112 and 114ls cams fall compared to the MMS 224v3.1. I want to know where the ARE split patter cams fall. I want to know where the C1 cam falls. It will be a good tool for the members of this board to use when comparing cams.
