Default Received XE-R grind today

I know some of you guys have been waiting for some of the XE-R grinds to ship. They received about 130 cores last week at Comp. Mine arrived today. I ended up going with 224/228 112 110 0.581 0.588. I'm going to be running stock 98 heads with 918s and Ti retainers. I'm going to degree the cam in at a 112 IC and I will be claying to check P/V clearance (stock pistons).

Tim

Will the only way Tim or you will have the slightest chance of bustin' my *** is if you both have your cars ready to run by late April. I have something up my sleeve as well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

My new cam will be an XE-R grind plus my heads are going to be touched up again and upgraded with Comp 987 double springs.

Oh yeah while I'm here are you going to go in with us on LS1 Edit? The inital price is $550 plus $100 per additional car. I know Eddie and Dave are interested as well. So the total price would be $950, divided by 5 would be $190 each. Plus dyno time. We can see if Mikey can work us a deal for dyno time.

You have had two years to beat me beeeatch and you still haven't!!! You may be getting your heads upgraded but the one thing I know you won't be upgrading is your driving! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Not even Nick could fix that one. LOL

Richie,

I am in 100% on the ls1 edit. I also have another friend who wants it to so that makes 6 of us so 550 + 500 1050/6 = 175 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Oh and you dont know what I have up my sleeve either <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />

With 7 of you guys going in together, you may want to just consider swinging for the unlimited version. There is a limit of how many PCMs the locked version will work with, but I'm not sure what it is (for some reason 5 sticks in my head)...

BTW, if my new motor ever gets done, I'll come down there and bust everyone's ***! <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> Just kidding...

I think the unlimited version is $1500. I'd chip in too, if I wasn't 2.5hrs away from you guys down there...

I just paid the full $550 for mine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I don't have any "LS1 friends" local to me, and I couldn't convince any of my buddies that LS1Edit would help their carbed engines. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Hey guys I just checked and the limit is 4 cars with the locked version. It says it right on Carputing's website. I guess they have to make a living somehow.

Tim you had a stroker (360 CI) LS1. You had 14 CI on me BIAAAAAAAAAATCH! And as for not knowing how to drive I'll let you drive my car for a week then let you run it the whole night @ the track and I bet you won't even get into the 11's
Then I'll make 2 passes in your A4 car and run just as quick as you did with it.
<img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

Will the only thing you have up your sleeve is B.O.! How do you like that tough guy?!

The cam card #s were the same as the values on the lobe list.

@0.006": 273I 277E
@0.050": 224I 228E
@0.200": 146I 149E

lift: 0.581" 0.588"

Beating Richie?? HA, been there done that... Hell, still doing it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Hey Tim, glad to see you are getting back in the game, I haven't seen you run in ages.

Hey Richie, all kidding aside, what size cam are you going with? Bigger I assume? I am in the process of making a few changes as well, so we should still be a good run. Keep me posted on your progress!

Joey you might have beaten me at the Vette Viper F-Body Shooutout but at least I didn't trailer my car
Even with a fucked T-56 I didn't do too bad.

As for what cam I'm going with I really haven't made up my mind yet. I'll let you know what cam I choose after we run again. If we were playing poker you wouldn't expect me to show you my cards would you?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

If you were still running on the stock 10-bolt you'd be leary of driving it that far to run as hard as we do as well... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> And for the record, the weather had nothing to do with the times from the shootout, they have since been backed up and in much crappier weather this past tuesday. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Who said we were playing poker here? I thought this was all for the fun of it?? I guess we can chalk it up to being home field advantage since I went up to OSW and stunk, and vice versa when you came down here... I think we need to hit gainesville instead. That's a much better track than the two we both run on. What do you say? Once we are both done with our little mod-fest eh? Hey maybe Vince and Mark (1madss) will be all set to run then also? Sounds like fun!

Then we can all go out for a few <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Actually Joey, I have made the trip back and forth to BMP several times with 10 bolt/4:10 gears and no trailer, I also broke seven teeth off the ring gear @ BMP and still drove home. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

As for the weather the day of the Shootout...it sucked!

And who says people don't play poker for fun? I am in it for nothing but the fun of racing.

Gainsville sounds like a good neutral ground.

I am putting the car on hold for now since I put my house up for sale yesterday, it should sell pretty quick considering I have had 4 calls on it already. Even though I am going to a house that is double the size of the one I own now I will have enough left over to buy another F-body.

Who knows I might come back with a 427ish LS1 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Yeah Mark is Joey old enough to drink? I wouldn't want to be responsible for corrupting a minor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I'll keep you updated. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
