Default B1 or T1?

I am getting the B1 installed on the 28th at MTI also with custom tuning being done. I asked them what would work best. They suggested the B1 for daily driver. Should I go with the T1? I already payed for it, but I can just tell them to switch it. The mods I have are Lid,tb mod, egr mod, ram air mod, ported TB and MAF, NGK, K@N filter, Flowmaster,3" cut out, hollowed out converters, 3:73 gears, 2800 Vigilante, HPP3 ,what do you all think? Which one should I go with?

So the B1 would be better for an automatic? Would T1 be too much for the tranny?

Lets keep it simple:

Do you want to pass emissions testing and run with catalytics?

A. Yes! I need the B1
B. No! The T1 is good for me
C. No emissions testing here, I'll flip a coin.

There really isn't much difference between the two cams, and with custom tuning both will be just fine in an A4 car. Quite a few T1 cammed A4 cars out there. Performance-wise, probably no difference at all. The T1 will lope just a bit harder, but the B1 still lopes also. Only an experienced ear could tell them apart, and I'm not even that experienced.

I do want to pass the emissions, but don't have a problem passing it, since, well I get a hook up, but I guess I will go with the B1. I was going to asking you about knock retard? I maybe losing power......

I was running a 12.89 before my B1 and LS6 intake. After, I ran 12.39

This was with ORP's.

I went from 12.6 to 12.1 with no other changes with the B1. This was with stock manifolds with a MAC ORP and 4.10s

What is the difference between the old T1/B1 from Lunati, and the new Comp ground ones? Ramp rates? If so, did they get more agressive? Or less?

The "old" Lunati B1/T1 cams and the "new" CompCam ones are identical. MTI actually sent CompCam some "old" B1/T1 cams to copy based on what they found with their cam doctor. There is NO difference between them, just the name of the manufacturer changed.

I used to run the B1 cam and I loved it! It is a great street/strip cam. You won't be disappointed with either cam.

I agree.. I have the T1 now and I am in the top 5 in my area for one of the fastest NA cars around and that was when I was just cam and headers..

Topic: B1 or T1?

LOL, neither! Get a Hammer! (C1)

Dont fret so much on it, they are all pretty close to the same thing. Just ask the guys up there at MTI what they would do. Patrick, Josh, and Mike wont do you wrong.

Good luck!
