Default GTP S2 heads/G5 cam DYNO numbers -->

I finally got around to getting the car done after a few weeks of confusion The mods:

2001 WS6 M6
GTP S2 5.7 heads
LG "G5" Camshaft on a 112
Shaner S2 Ported TB
FLP's w/ a 3" ypipe
SLP dual/dual exhaust (no cut-out)
Lid/filter
ported Maf
HPP 3
Strange 12 bolt with 430s (note lots of gear )

Best of 4 pulls was: 429/386
The car was consistant, each pull was above 422

This was through completely capped exhaust, 12 bolt w/ the 430s, and no tuning.

We were very surpised with the numbers through full exhaust and the 12bolt, needless to say I'm happy. I'd like to give a big thanks to the FAStech crew for helping me out and taking care of me like usual, The cam swap took roughly 1hr , nothing but the best from them... And also a big thanks to Lou at LG for taking care of me with this cam, its awesome cam The printer was broke, so no graphs to post up, but I'll try to later on in the week.

Thanks guys...

The car was extremely rich on the dyno as well, I saw some .950s for the 02s..No KR at all tho

The part of this that got my interest was that was through a 12-bolt with capped exhaust - very impressive numbers. It also looks to me like the G5 is a very BIG cam. The differential between your peak HP and peak torque values tells me that the peak power on the G5 is sitting really high.

To me the best part of it is that it made the power like you said through the full exhaust and a 12bolt ...The cam is definietly big

One more note, I dynoed the car about 3wks back w/ heads only, did 370/370, only one pull tho, may have made more, but that shows that just by adding this cam and shaners ported TB to my car w/ heads already on it, it gained nearly 60rwhp!!

Alright Peter! Those are definitely some badass #'s for your gearing. I told ya the SLP dual/dual catback flows well! I'd be really interested to see just how much power you might gain w/ a cutout at your power level. Where was your peak HP and peak TQ? Was it still building power when you hit the limiter, and is your limiter at 6,600 w/ a HPP3? I think you need a set of the "ignorant 4.71's" like Fireball. Just be sure to buy/borrow a set of 28" tires for the track! You might e-mail Jason about his; he's gonna be selling those and his skinnies. We're gonna have to meet up sometime so I can go for a ride.

Peter,

I like it!

Also the cam is not as big as you might think. But we still cannot give out the specs.

Also we have that cam in my Black C5 (was G7, but I put a Z06 with a G5 cam in it),It puts out 434rwhp and 423rwtq So will PK when he gets it tuned.

Peak hp is at 6400,& peak tq is at 4700

Good work Peter.

Have fun.

Congrats! You'll fly.

Is the G5 cam a dual pattern? And what are the lift numbers. I'm curious how P/V clearance will be with milled heads.

Lou,

Can you atleast give us an idea of what the P/V cleanace looks like with say the usual .030 mill or so? Thx.

Now that might give away too much info...

My XE-R 224/228 with stock heads came in at 0.146 I 0.140 E on the P/V clearances.

Looks like plenty of clearance there Tim.. You should be able to mill heads 30 thousandths and still be o.k...

I am going with the G5kit and FLP headers with your custom programing. My only other mod is a lid .. I'm hoping for about 380 or more to the rear wheels (M6, stock rear end)!! I'm just waiting on you all to get the FLPs in .. I've been talking to Justin, so I hope he has me on the board to get in there soon!

Glad to see the good numbers here!!
