Hey Cliff, your heads left last week. You should see them this week. It took me a while to find your order. We had your order under Chris instead of Cliff. Let me know if you need anything else man!

My guess is that he neglected to delete all the o2 codes. If you sucessfully remove all o2 and cat codes, the readiness bits instantly set to complete. Ive done this myself running open loop without o2s. The only thing you cant remove is the MAF.

I've deleted my rear o2's and passed emissions. Ya just gotta delete all the necessary codes. Chevyls1, I'm sure u'll be happy with the LS6 heads...don't bother even looking back.

ok now i run into a bigger problem i think that i got the bigger valves not even thinking about the flycutting! now i am having a really hard time finding someone that will do that while the pistons are in the motor. so i called a friend or a friend that does very good machine work he does alot of race motors. he quoted me about $4,000.00 to turn my motor into a 383 stroker using all compstar rods and crank also diamond pistons (i think that is what he said for the parts) also he said he would install all my parts that i ordered. is it worth it or just pull my pistons and have him cut them?

There are several how to's on flycutting if you use the search button. But then again $4k to do all the machine work, labor and have your end result be a fairly stout 383 is a damn good deal.

If you have the money I would take your friend up on his offer. Do it right the first time and call it a day. Just make sure he installs ARP rod bolts and ARP head studs.

yeah, it was back in the early years when i had my first ls1 done, i thought i had a nasty setup with the 216/220 114 cam, and heads.... LOL.... so if i completely block everything then i can get away passing the obdII test??

thanx!

You have the wrong idea about fly cutting. You dont not need to remove your pistons. I repeat you do not need to remove your pistons.

The first motor in this album was cut with the motor in the car with only the heads off.

No need to remove. Its a LOT of trouble for something so simple.
