Woo Hoo, all our hard work paid off!!!

The car fired immediately and idled! Fired so quickly I was shocked, oil pressure was good, kept the radiator cap off to make sure the coolant level was OK. Once it got up to temp, shut down and check all fluid levels, then the small road trip. Car ran good, but really kept the RPM's down. Got home, with the "service Engine Soon" light on. Pooped the hood and greete with a great SHHHHHHHHHHHHH! DAMN!

The stupid lousy cheesy SLP, EGR mod for the LS-6 intake, the top rubber O'Ring is broken! And upon further invesigation it was broken BEFORE it was painted!!! Both ends of the o-ring are silver. DAMN SLP!!!

So now how the heck do we get this stupid thing apart! GGGGGRRRR

Try two for car start up!

Well, after too many trips to the hardware store, countless useless tool purchases, and much swearing, Mark, Dave and I got the $%&^$% (%*@ ^$&@ @^& $&&* *@!#* *@*&!#* SLP EGR fitting off the intake manifold. So lastnight we installed the new gaskets, and just to be on the overkill side, sealed everthing with a good coat of RTV. So this morning, I'm back over to Mark's house to fire this bad toy up!!! Wish us luck!

I have to ask what specific tools and how much heat to the fitting (due to threadlocker) did it take to get the thing off.

I cracked the top o-ring when I tried to get a better seal when it leaked from the get go. I wound up RTV siliconing (is that a word) the %#$@^ hell out of it to stop the leak. I have the replacement o-rings I need to install, but want to be sure of what tools and method worked best.

I wish now I would have gone with this http://secure.techservices.net/fwist...D=487&CATID=11

I am waiting for my ARE stage 1 truck heads now. nick told me they should ship out TUE. i also paid a little more to get them to flow like stage 2's. I went with the T1 cam though. hope all the bugs get worked out with no major problems.the intake looks nice. best of luck!

HOLY SCHNEIKIES!!! Had it out on the roads tonight for the first time. I scared myself.

What a difference! Just have to get it on the dyno now to see what it'll put down.

Special thanks go out to my buddy, Andy, for all his help on the H/C project! It was fun. What's next?!

BTW, EXCELLENT choice in parts. It sounds like a VERY nice combo.

Good luck at the track!
