Stock shot peened crank holding 600 rwhp?

Re: Stock shot peened crank holding 600 rwhp?
It should as long as everything is right. I haven't seen anyone break one yet. I would go with a billet or forged crank after 650 or more rwhp to be safe. The stock crank is a very nice component for stock equipment.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Y2Khawk that was the post I was looking for. Your numbes on a stock crank.
I cannot get a hold of a 4.00 crank yet to put in my 6.0 block. 4.03 bore and was going with the 4.0 crank to get 408, but looks like a 370 for a lil bit argg
should still be a mover
Got some billet rods and je pistons though...

yeah I have seen a few for the $2300+, but think that is pricey. I want it for $1900 or less

heat treating is another possibility. The combo of the two would be best....but who knows...
