Yeah i dynoed at STP, NX150 wet shot single shark nozzle (only actually get 130 from it though). I have done a few more boltons since then though. I do my own tuning too. I layed the same numbers down at a dyno in texas.

Why, why not!

I say give it to him, spend some time hang out eat a pizza drink some beers install it and just have some fun turning wrenches.

Will it help alot no, will it help some, maybe. Will it be interesting back to back dnyo yes and please do it
Yeah if they wanna do it then have fun with it. I just wouldnt want them do be dissappointed if it doesnt do anything or for that matter makes it worse.

Neither of those cam is actually bigger than the other anyway If you think one of those is significantly bigger than you havent a clue. id rather have the 01-02 cam just due to the LSA.

exactly...they cam out with the 01-02 cam to because customers were comapling the LS1 didnt have any low end power...The 01-02 cam brought the power down a little, while still givng the same kind of power up top, plus it had the LS6 intake to compensate...I would save another 400, and get a used 224 cam and valve springs if you are on a budget.

I wouldn't do it, going into an engine is always a risk. Nick a bearing, drop a lifter etc. all for trying to gain an extra 10 rwhp. The risk wouldn't be worth the reward to me but but you could probably pick up 10 rwhp. The difference in the lift is about that same as you would get stepping up to a 1.8 rocker and you get a little extra duration but not much.

He doesn't want to spend any money on cam right now, that's why it's a free shot at a little power, and when you add in waht an ls6 will give a 98-00 car, and subtract that from the numbers on a 01-02 car, then it makes me think there might be somehting there since that is two of the three or four big differences in between the years. RIGHT? ANybody else? And how much will the only significant difference in the cams make, the LSA! IT is pretty significant. What does this change?

Factored in just getting him to buy some slp rockers with a 1.85 or so, but the money!!!!! almost five hundred for them and none cheaper than three. This is just cheaper and i got pen magnets and smooth hands for the cam

All the 119 LSA is going to do is give it a nicer idle and move the powerband down more in the rpm range. And the lifts and durations are pretty much the same.

well here is how i look at it, you are not spending any money buying the cam, and looking at the specs it it obviously better, not much but hey you didnt pay for it and i know you have nothing to do on the weekend. and its really cool how someone says not to do it and they dont even have a car that runs so i say just do it, it cant hurt

How do you figure that one of those cams is better than the other? What tells you that?

Yeah my car doesnt run because its getting a forged motor and head/cam setup. Wow im really sad, lol.

So far, it's awesome, but i need a tune really bad. Idle makes me hard though, if that says enough. Really feel the difference after 2 grand. I say do it, worth every penny so far

The specs?? They are basically the same, lol. The only difference being LSA, the 99 has more seperation which would actually take away top end.

What does my little forged 347 have to do with this anyway?
