What i do know is that those 2 cams are almost the same and if it was worthwhile to swap i am sure more people would have done it already. Most free mods take a few minutes not a few hours to do. And yeah I have all kinds of free mods, they never really gained me any HP either.

My time isnt where i want it because i only ran it down the track a few times with a 150 shot and I blew the tires off pretty much until third gear. I trap 121 so the power is plenty there, just gotta get some nicer tires. Good enough for you Mr. I wish i owned an LS1? trolls

I think the members of this board are just trying to save you some time and frustration. By swapping to another stock cam, there is a good chance you will not notice any difference whatsoever. Except for the blood and sweat in the engine bay. By all means, if you want to try it go ahead and post up the results. Why don't you get a baby cam like low 220s duration?

I tell you what 98, you pay for the pre dyno and do the swap, and I will pay for your after dyno at ST and we will see the improvements. Cam only, no other mods allowed. Worst case you get a free dyno run.

deal or no?

Okay, i'll see what he says. Rememebr, it's a buddy's 02 LS1 that's thinking about it, I have a torquer.. And ST Performance closed down there dyno is gone. Do you know if it was a mustang dyno or a Dynojet? I am pretty sure a place in Savannah called Carter Racing bought it though.
But will get a baseline on that car when i get miine tuned at Vengeance in a couple weeks. He wants to go too and baseline, so if we do it, we will have the numbers

Well do it at Carter, my friend works there. I will be there for both dyno sessions. Its a Dyno Dynamics dynamoter. If he wants to do it, we have to do it on the exact same dyno both times or its pointless. Any differences are going to be tiny anyway so we have to eliminate possible dyno differences.

I knew they have a dyno, my bad for not knowing its origins, lol.

HEy yeah, they are the ones working on the red 240 there. Tell them to hurry, he wants his car. He had to take them a harness yesterday. That car has been with them for like 6 months, but they're making good power with it, it just keeps breaking. I told my friend to ditch the four and get an ls1 but he won't do it. Tell those guys they need to build an ls powered car to showcase for Carter or something.

And come on guys...What about power gains with a Z06 cam, it is definitely a larger cam.
