Re: Will the B1 Cam Idle Without Computer Tuning?
I think a B1 should idle ok without tuning, its not quite as lope as a T1.
Hey M6 T1 guys, can you give me some help? With my new T1 in there, the car has a hard time finding idle at startup. I have to hit the gas a little and hold the revs at 1000 for a few seconds, to help it kind of find the idle. If I don't it will die (especially on cold start) or it will surge between 500-1300 for a few seconds until it settles in at 800. Once it settles at 800, there's no problems. Just at any startup. I haven't done any TB drilling, will this cure the problem?

Just be sure that you have an HPP3 to raise your limiter and shift points. I have the Comp XE-R 224/224, .581"/.581", 112 LSA in my A4, and it's working great with Ed Wright's tuning. I have the idle in gear right at 775-800, and it sounds great with no streetability problems at all.

Will the B1 Cam Idle Without Computer Tuning? You should be fine.
In an A4 car you might have to raise the idle just a bit, via the TB hole or bending the tab.
Good Luck!
p.s., there are lots of B1 user, cam comments on my cam page.
