Default First Impressions of TR224/224 112lsa

Very cool!

I just installed my TR224/224 112lsa cam over the weekend. All I have to say is wow, My tires hate me. The mid-range torque is phenominal! Combined with my Super Thruster 3800 torque converter the torque multiplication is fantastic. I can't wait to get to the track next weekend.

any way, I'll try to get the car strapped down to the Dyno to get a good before/after from my previous combination.

Well as far as the idle, its great! But on that note I have full control of my PCM via LS1 Edit. So, I lowwered my idle down to 850 (from the 950 the last cam liked) and raised the base timing to around 25 degrees. Its still choppy but very liveable.

I agree that the 224 w/ a 112 LSA rocks in an A4! I have Comp's XE-R 224 cam on a 112 LSA, and I LOVE it! I have my idle sitting at 800 RPM in gear, and the car is really happy. It thumps nicely at that idle and doesn't give me any drivability problems. I know that my Nittos HATE me with the Yank PT4400!
Let us know how it performs at the track. I'm going to make another attempt to run this Saturday if Mother Nature will ever cooperate.
