dope thats not a C5-R thats LG's tran am race car. Completly different. That car has a 302 carbed in it that puts down like 650 n/a hp and looks like a corvette, nothing Ls1 about it, it was in GMHTP. A C5R is built with a C5-R block and is about 7 - 8 liters and very similar to a LS1

ROFLMAO,
A tuned weed whacker,TEHE. At low RPM Ferrari's remind me of my mothers old sewing machine running on 220 VAC TEHE. You want Ferrari sound buy a Ferrari, you want American made muscle car sound, stick with what you got.

Ok, well then how and where do I learn about all this stuff, cause I have no idea about any of it.
I dont even know what a true dual system looks like.
Can you have an x-pipe without headers?
Do you have to have 2 cats?
With 2 mufflers, where do they go?
What are long pipes? resonators? expansion chambers? tuning chambers?
Is there only ONE way to do the x-pipe thing, or do I have more extreme and less extreme options?

My Random Tech Wails like a banshee in the upper rpms. Everyone asks me if it's my tires screaming.

I'll repeat, you're not going to get that high pitched sound with a regular 2 into 1 LS1 cat back. Not gonna happen...even with a B&B or Corsa. Listen to what I'm saying...get an X-pipe, expansion chamber and twin resonators going out the back or side (true duals). It's not easy or cheap, but it will sound much more exotic than a store bought 2 into 1 catback.

Re: I want my LS1 Z28 to sound like a Ferarri, not a Monster Truck
When I added Random Tech 3" cats into my MAC offroad Y-pipe, MAC headers and cutout combo the car sounded very good. It also got rid of the tinny low end noise. On my C4 Vette I ran LPE longtubes and borla SS mufflers and got the effect your talking about.

Re: I want my LS1 Z28 to sound like a Ferarri, not a Monster Truck
I'll tell you this much-- I have the Corsa Indy's with an X-pipe and TPIS long-tube headers.
I also know many other Corvette owners with the Corsa and B&B PRT exhausts.
That Corsa soundsite you quote-- is a lie--I've NEVER heard a single solitary LS1 with those parts sound like that...EVER. It's obvious to me that they upped the pitch on the recordings for some reason--they sound a lot better in real life.
B&B PRT's do have a higher-pitch sound to them from the ones I've heard that I guess would be closer to the "exotic" sound you're looking for--a little more like the recording.. There's also the Borla XR-1 no-muffler system, which has a different sound(pretty cheap, too)--I don't know if they make them for F-bodies or not...
Man, you drive an American car...allow your car sound like it These systems are expensive, but you really should get to a show where you can hear them in person...then you will know exactly what to save for
(I hear some Japanese cars sound "exotic" with a four incher in the back )
