Just curious if anyone runs the Comp 212/218 cam. I'd love to see a dyno graph of it to see how much different it looks compared to the 222 and 224 duration cams. Everyone always talks about how much low end torque this cam makes....I wanna see a dyno graph.

Do yourself a favor and look at the Comp 216/220. Its only a little larger with no drivability issues. I just put one in and am very pleased.

There is a real nice guy on the board that goes by "Abdulla". He lives in Kuwait, and ran this cam waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the ls1.com days when cams were just starting to get popular. He was running 11.60's/119 mph. His car was pretty light, but impressive none the less...

I'd consider a larger cam but only if I could run it with my LS6 springs.

FWIW...Abdulla use to run the Comp. 212/218 522/529 split duration cam ground on a 112 LSA. It's considered a small cam but it offers lot's of torque down low and you don't have to rev'er to the moon to maximize power output. I first started posting/reading LS1.com in early 1999 (seems so long ago) and quickly learned that "big" cams are not always better.

ok, i don't have a dyno sheet for you. but i can tell you that it is a good cam. i put this cam in buddys car. he dynoed before the cam 313rwhp at the wheels on an auto, he did headers (flp) intake manifold (ls6) bbk throttle body and of curse the 212 218 cam. he dynoed 360rwhp on the same dyno and no driveablty probelms. i know he peeked around 5400 and made a flat hp curve to 6500. of course he used a hypertech to up his rev limter. all together he picked up 47 hp. not bad <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> even better that it was in an auto.
