You will need an intake - there is a GMPP dual plane intake that is a direct swap, but depending on your power goals that may not be appropriate. You can easily convert a Vic Jr. over.

You will need an opti-block off plate - GMPP also has one of those, as well as a distributor. If you do not already have one you will probably end up using an MSD as your ignitor.

That's about it, as far as the motor is concerned.

Because in both road race and drag conditions a carbeurated lt1 has produced more power than a fuel injected lt1. Easier to tune {less comp tuning} and cheaper to beef up.Want more fuel bigger intake or carb instead of high pressure fuel reg and new injecters.

I would have thought a FI setup would yield more HP than a carbed one. Properly tuned of course. Is this a popular conversion? First I've heard of it.

Supporting data? The fastest/quickest LT1's are all fuel injected.

LT1 Computer tuning is simple. Once you get it set up making changes are much easier than with a carb.

If you want to do it it's easy, your motives are your own. Personally if I were going to ditch the fuel injectoion it would be because I switched to a SB400 based motor (like a 434, etc.). There is no reason to build upa LT1 over a normal SBC if you are going carbed.
