Default ? on chamber work on MTI stage II LS6 heads

I just received a set of stage II LS6 heads. I'm far from an expert as to what exactly should be done.

The chambers were not polished. Should they be?

Thanks,
Bill

Are you talking about the combustion chamber,
or intake or exhaust runners?

Both have there bonuses to making extra power. It will probably make similar power with unfinished chambers and you dont lose any compression when they are left untouched

How about posting port flow #'s for intake and exhaust? Volume figures would be very helpful also, TIA.

I didn't get any flow numbers. I'll see if they can send them to me on Monday.

Terry there you go again trying to take pot shots @ MTI - just remember Raughammer is only about a 1/2 second faster then you and has you by about 3 mph!!! Yes what do those MTI heads cost?

They are the standard stg II heads (2.055 and 1.60) and flow 310-315 at 0.650 and 215-220 at 0.650. I bought the heads from Pace Performance and had them shipped to MTI.

Does that sound about right?

I saw Nineball's flowed quit a bit better but he had 2.08" intake valves and they were setup for a bigger cubic inch motor.

Thanks
