Quick exhaust quetion.. Hooker Aerochamber direct replacement?
I am having someone weld in my Aerochamber Hooker tomorrw. My question is, the muffler has a 2.5in inlet and 2.25in outs. Is the stock muffler 2.5 in and dual 2.25 out as well? I would like to leave the stock tips and pipes.
This os going on a 2001 SS.. Thanks

Stock would be 2.75 inlet. They can open up the inlet on the new muffler, that what I would do. I would NOT neck it down!

I just ordered the Aerochamber 21721 from Thunder Racing. It has 2-1/2 inlet and 2 x 2 1/4 outlets.
Will I be able to keep my stock exhaust tips?
Is it easy to open the inlet to 2 3/4 ? How do I know if the muffler dude did it right? I understand the stock intermediate pipe is 2 3/4?
Has anyone done this?

Did you keep your stock exhaust tips? I really like the square tips...
I got quoted $75 for install from a custom exhaust shop. I guess thats good price as long as they do it right.

Moved to the "external/bolt on forum"
Get it opened up and dont neck it down.
BTW, use the stock tips. (IMO) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
