Quick exhaust quetion.. Hooker Aerochamber direct replacement? I am having someone weld in my Aerochamber Hooker tomorrw. My question is, the muffler has a 2.5in inlet and 2.25in outs. Is the stock muffler 2.5 in and dual 2.25 out as well? I would like to leave the stock tips and pipes.

Re: Quick exhaust quetion.. Hooker Aerochamber direct replacement? Stock would be 2.75 inlet. They can open up the inlet on the new muffler, that what I would do. I would NOT neck it down!

Will I be able to keep my stock exhaust tips?
Is it easy to open the inlet to 2 3/4 ? How do I know if the muffler dude did it right? I understand the stock intermediate pipe is 2 3/4?
Has anyone done this?

Re: Quick exhaust quetion.. Hooker Aerochamber direct replacement? Mine is on.. Has been for some time.. They have a spreading machinr that opens up the inlet.. Takes them all of 5 seconds.. Don't worry, I think most exh shops have a spreader..

I got quoted $75 for install from a custom exhaust shop. I guess thats good price as long as they do it right.

Get it opened up and dont neck it down.
