Default bearings in my oil?

ok, did oil change tonight. found a **** load of roller bearings in my oil. guessing it came from a rocker. no bottom end damage at all so far as i can see. have any of you heard or seen post about this before? another possiblty it is the roller lifter? but seems i have way to many roller bearings for that. car still runs like a champ. pulled 12.20 at 115.10 last night spining tires. please feed me some of your input on this

I have read about this before. Seems it is a failed rocker.

You are not the first.

Were you running factory stock valve train?

I've heard of this quite a few times...happened to me too. No damage was done, but it sure scared me. The car seemed to run fine and there was no unusual valve train noise either. Apparantly all the bearings dropped straight down into the oil pan. I've been told that there are 33 bearings in one rocker. I changed my oil about 5000 miles after it happened and found 2 more bearings...I think that's all of them.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Glad it doesn't seem to be a big deal though. Congrats on the great runs!

Hoping to adjust my clutch pedal this weekend. I'll try to get the engagement point closer to the floor to eliminate any slip. After that I should be able to keep up with you.
