Default Heads are on but oil pressure gauge isn't working

Well, I got the heads on and fired it up. It sounds great but the oil pressure gauge is at zero. When we shut the car off the gauge jumps to around 20 PSI with the car off. When I put autotap on it the gauge tells autotap it's at -14PSI with the car off and on. It sounds great though and we have fired it up about 10 times for about 20 seconds but we're too afraid of the oil pressure gauge.

We plugged the oil sending unit back in also. Thanks.

You accidentally broke the sender removing the intake manifold, your gonna have to confirm this , either that, or you left it unplugged.
Good Luck.

Time to take off the intake and replace the oil pressure sending unit. It is very common to brake it, even being careful.

Autotap won't read the oil pressure, at least the DOS version doesn't. Mine always reads out at -14.

Thanks for the input. I'll order him a new sending unit on Tuesday! I'll let you know if that fixes it (I know it will).

Is this the correct part #: 12562230 for the oil pressure sending unit?
