I was under the impression that the Hotcam has a stock base circle and did not require longer pushrods to compensate for it.

the ASA cam does not REQUIRE longer pushrods, but it is reccomended. it quiets the valve train down. so im guessing it has a smaller base circle. i do not know about the Hot Cam.

ls1 hotcam in my 6.0 engine and stock pushrods, lifter pre-load is the same as stock, no noise or ticking here
