Cartek "Z" package...Part 3
<strong>Im the owner <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I didnt use any of my hard earned money to pay for this. I sold my old heads and cam and my 2000 rims and tires. My tuner doesnt keep any secrets from me and I was there at the shop when we flow benched the heads. Like I have mentioned in other threads Julio has done lots of homework and research and I will not reveal anything until he is ready to make it public. Why should he let this info out??? Let the other tuners sweat and come up with their own power making combos. If all tuners made the same HP and ran the same times with their packages...their wouldnt be variety. This is why CARTEK stands in a class of its own.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You are correct bro it does raise the bar for performance.
NO stroker in this car !!!
You think your lawn mower powered dragster is going to beat my car?? Dude I think you been sniffing too much octane booster. Face it Terry ..you will never...EVERRRRRRRRRR...touch my car. As my car sits now its faster then what you have. 700 HP with the bottle..AND YES THE BOTTOM END CAN HANDLE IT!!!

Isn't it a fact that my car is quicker? If you are talking about make believe world where you can hook up your 575rwhp, I've got a bottle sitting in the garage too. I can have it on the car in less than an hour if I want. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I don't know why you guys argue back & fourth
with Terry. Don't even pay attention to him.
Everyone knows he has a thing for JS & Cartek.
What a love story..Terry does "JS" and "Cartek"!

Aren't we all here because we share the same interests and enthusiasm for our cars? Granted the tuners that we use and support with our own hard-earned money may be different, but the end result is the same: to build the car that we want for ourselves and that reflects our own personal tastes.
I support and use MTI almost exclusively, but that doesn't mean I won't or can't show respect for the great cars coming from ARE, Cartek, MMS, Thunder Racing or any of the other shops out there.
What we as customer's also need to realize is that people's livelihoods in the LS1 tuner world can and do depend to a great extent on the court of public opinion. Speaking badly of a particular shop that you don't have a "first person" direct issue with can have a wider impact than any of us realize.
Granted, there are always going to be points of conflict - that's just the nature of things, but focusing on the negative or personal attacks is just going to cause more harm than good.

I've got another slip from the same day with a slower ET (11.169 I think) and 122mph around somewhere too. Time slips don't really prove anything because you could easily just pickup someone else's, but I'll scan em both Monday at work if you want. My dyno sheet (435rwhp/400rwtq) is over at MMS', I can grab that next week too.
What's funny is how everything seems to focus on my car. You can't even have a conversation about
a 460rwhp C5 without people shifting the focus to MY cars. Good thing its running well I guess. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Weather looks like it will be in the mid 60's on Sunday, and they usually prep the track for this event. (Outlaw bracket racing at Carlsbad). I'll probably take a couple TNT runs Saturday and go for it Sunday. This is my best shot to get in the 10s for the next month or so! Wish me luck.

They never run NT. Where you there to see this. If you did you must have good vision to see those cars all the way from cali. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> PLus, we always post time slips.

</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've done what I can with the car but the heads/intake are unchanged from when I took them off the shelf @ MMS. The difference is my heads were ported before they knew I was going to have them, so no special tricks or anything was done. Most shops crank up the CR and spend a lot of extra time on the "demo car" setups (IE my00C5, JS) that their regular customers don't receive. This is not the case with my setup. I've got MMS reject heads, lol. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
For my next heads/cam I'm going to use the Cartek tricks (LS6 cores, bump the CR up, port match to the intake, spend extra time on the valve job, run more cam, get better headers, run light weight wheels and race gas on the dyno, etc). For now I'm happy running on par or better than you guys using much cheaper parts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">As always, a bunch of BS.
Every car that gets a H/C package at cartek goes on the dyno. They know what they get compared to the last person. At cartek they always try to best the last results. They don't play the favorites game there. Maybe your used to a different game at Margon motorsports? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Maybe this is why some MMS customers are complaining about low dyno numbers? hmmm..now your making it clear Terry.

RE: JS's car. His car has never run 6.95 in the 1/8th mile. His cars best 1/8th mile is in the 7.05 range and that was with an almost 1700' better DA and a better 60' time! Same track same day I'll blow his doors off. He knows it too, you can tell from the tone of his posts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
