WOOOHOOO!!!! Just ordered my MTI satge 2 heads and C2 cam
Just got off the phone with MTI and placed my order for a set of Stage 2 LS6 heads and the C2 cam! They are on an 8 week back order on the heads though. Its going to be the longest 8 weeks of my life. But for the HP numbers they are talking I think I can wait. Cant wait to get them!

Got a call from MTI today. They talked to me about there new X1 cam. Its a split duration cam, I am normally against slpit duration types but the numbers dont lie. Last 4 cars they dynod with the same set up that I have with the LS6 heads and X1 cam put no less than 430 to the tires. They just had one put 445 down. Now I dont know if those are the infamous Texas HP numbers that I hear about but I decided to try this cam out. Its a big boy though....591 lift

You will love the setup. I'd have to say go for it on the X1 also. Those LS6 heads love the extra intake duration on smaller motors.
I know another local guy that just put in the order for the exact same setup. I would mention his name, but I'm not sure if he wants to be sneaky or not

I will definatly keep everyone ifromed once it all comes together. Only problem is the 8 week back order that MTI is on for the heads. I was told that the X1 had been in MTI's inventory for a while but they just recenty starteed testing it. I was also told the same thing nineball said. Something about the LS1 really like the extra intake duration. I will be in touch with MTI at a minimum of once a week to check on progress of the cam and heads set up as they roll them out. because I am so far down the line I can always change my mind on the cam after hearing more results on it.

You're definitely going to love the new-found power. Did Jayson, or anyone else at MTI, tell you about how much more power the X1 would make over the C2? I wouldn't expect the idle to be too different from the C2, and the reverse split pattern cams seem to be making some great power. I'm thinking of trying out a 228/224 XE-R on a 112 LSA this fall. I just don't know how much power it will be worth over my current 224/224 XE-R on a 112 LSA. Every little bit will help to be competitive in the SS/A class at the Thunder Shootout in November. I'll have to check p. to v. clearance w/ 228 degrees of duration and .588" lift, though. If not, I'll be cringing on initial startup.
