Default The Car Is Alive Again!!

That was insanely quick.. Dropped my car off yesterday at StraightLine at 6 at night. As of 1 hour ago it was already running.. Not tuned, not till tomorrow..

The car b4 cam swap dynoed 331/340 on a fresh recalibrated mustang dyno...

i posted this in anther post:

My speed shop called, they said that my Trans Am *MAY HAVE A BLOWN HEAD GASKET* the reason that they say is b/c there was very little coolant in the radiator, 20 oz. But when they drained the oil outta the motor it was crystal clear they said. Also in my oil catch can, the oil was like a milky color. i was thinking that there was water in the crankcase, i only drove the car for 20 miles when i checked it, water did not evaporate?? Another thing to note, before i put the ta in storage i did a coolant flush. now i am thinking that maybe there was some air pockets, and when they air pockets got out, it caused the coolant level to drop???? I never did check it again after i stored it , thought that it would be fine?? The shop said that there was a spot on the drivers side header coming the from what looked like the head but that could have been from when i washed the car with an undercarriage was, also when i washed the motor as well? i did wash the car with an under carriage was on 12/16/06...

Any ideas????? i think air pockets are the cause of this????????

let me know what you guys think?

Wonder what numbers i will make after the cam?? 228/232 .588/.595 110+4

I'm getting my cam from Straight Line as well. I hear so many good things about that shop and actually haven't heard a single bad thing. Which is weird because no matter how good a shop is you always hear about people that have problems.

Like it was said your rwhp will depend on other factors such as the intake and underdrive pulley.

i got a pulley, but when they were heat cycling the car, it was a high idle so there should be no charging problems. Lights i would say no, b/c after 10 mins they shut off.. maybe battery, it is the original batter from 2001/2002 when ever the car was built. and i know i had a hell of time starting it to deliver to the shop on monday. It was -9 out when i started it.. But it still started.. Think i coulda strained it???

But yea i have been doing so much research.. I want results too lol.... I did dyno 331/340.. thought it was it low. but ahh ok

anymroe ideas

Ohh Brad. got home and pulled the car in the garage, eas working on the catch can for a bit and other misc things. the car DID NOT START AGAIN.. They tested the batter, with the key in the ignition in the 'on' position it dropped to 9V or so. And there was somehtin about it at 11V too.. So when i went to start the car again, all it did was click.. i was not paying to much attention to the lights bc i was pissed got outta the car and shut the garage door..

so do you think that it is a battery? And what do you recommend to replace it? I have to check funds to see if i can get an optima red top, if not what is the other alternative????
