In lieu of this offer, MMS will no longer warranty the valvesprings, but all other parts will continue to have the 1 yr warranty against material defects and workmanship. The warranty only covers the cylinder heads and not any labor or incidental or consequential damage. They are also not covered in cases of abuse, negligence or improper usage. Copy of warranty will be made available by request.
All replaced parts will carry a manufacture warranty only. This will not cover replacement costs unless specifically stated by the manufacture.

It don't think it's right that customers have to pay for a tuner's mistake. A 1 year warranty is just that.

With this shop, that's about the best deal you will get. If you have no engine damage, you're lucky.
Regarding my post on the springs, the warranty and the solution.
Most of the failures have been with springs that are less than 3 months old. We are providing a 100% credit.
I opted for a $75 to compensate those inconvenienced, more specifically the recent cases of problems.
Customers that have had our springs for more than six months have had a very small failure rate. The failure rate of springs since the use of Comp 941's to six months ago is very small. I'd estimate about 0.1%
In lieu of our warranty we are offering the terms I laid out in my initial post. All future warranty are from the manufacture. For example Comp offers a 12 month limited warranty.
So if your springs are six months old, then you receive a total credit of $141.98 towards the purchase of new springs. If you decide to use comp 918 springs then you will receive a one year warranty on the springs through comp cams. This would be at total equivalent warranty for 18 months.
We have made every effort to provide a viable spring solution for the LS1. Once again, when there were a lot of failures occurring with the Comp 941 springs many people were left high and dry to replace them at their own cost. MMS worked with all our customers that had spring issues, but we realized that this would be a continuing problem if a change wasn't made.
I get all this feedback about this or that spring. Well the fact of the matter is that all springs will have a certain failure rate. I have some customers that have been running our product for more than 3 years and haven't had a failure. I have many customers happily running Comp 941's without incident. It seems that the forums exagerates problems that occur, but the forum is just one small cross section of the buying public. Those on the forum are likely, more aggressive with the usage of their vehicles. Therefore, there will be more incidents of failure.
Initial failure of our springs were minimal. Latter batches resulted in more frequent failure. Once I determined that the springs were no longer meeting our expectations then I offered a solution.
Now it may not be a solution that 100% of the people agree with, but it is a solution that the majority can appreciate and understand. It is a preventative offer that is mostly focused towards those with springs less than 3 months old. If you've had our springs for 10months(for example) with trouble free operation, then consider yourself part of the majority of our customers.
Finally, as a general rule of thumb, I would recommend inspecting all springs used in high performance applications every 12-15000 miles.
... waaaayyy better than them just letting them take a hike.
I hate it when I'm out of time, money or lost work from my job behind parts failures, but it seems to be the name of the game.

What about bent valves ? Usually when you break a spring you bend a valve. (Just been my obeservation) How is that factored in since the head needs to come off ?
John
I would like to know too. Since, I broke one of your springs and bent a valve.
You warrantied the springs but I still had to pull the heads to replace valves.
I installed a set of K-motions... haven't broken any.
... and people said it was the install.... HA !!
Will the MMS titanium retainers work with other springs or am I gonna get a credit for them too???
