Oil dpistick tube is smoking! HELP!
Bubbles are definitely abnormal. The only way
I know of, to get your oil aerated, is to have
the sump overfilled so that the crank hits the
oil. That's bad.
If you have a lot of fuel in the oil then you
might be seeing that boil out. What does the
"smoke" smell like? Try holding some cold
glass over the dipstick tube and see what
the condensate really is.
The PCV should be sucking up enough that
no vapor exits the dipstick tube. If not, if
there's serious exit pressure, then you have
a blowby problem. That will give you fuel in
the oil, etc.

Are you getting an unusual amount of smoke out of the exhaust? If so it's probably a blown head gasket. Have your mechanic pressure check the coolant system. Coolant in the crankcase will kill your bearings. Have it checked!
No noticable smoke at all, no strange smells, nothing. Coolant level seems perfect, still the same gold/brown color. Oil looks fine, no noticable thinning of the oil.
My 02 has begun to burn oil. I checked it today, and it as usually had a ton of bubbles on the dipstick, which I heard was unusually. Today though I noticed smoke coming out of the dipstick tube, quite a bit. Not a fog, but plenty to notice. What the hell is causing this?? I noticed that the dipstick itself is smoking right in the middle, where it passes between the exhaust manifolds. This leads me to believe it just may be burning off there from the temperature of the manifolds. But it never got that hot before. Could my manifolds be heating up too much for some reason? A lean condition? It also doesn't explain the bubbles on the dipstick. Oil pressure seems normal, it drops a tiny bit after extended driving. The engine temp is normal. Anyone have any clues?
