Default How about this cam setup?

Comp Cams 224/224/ 581 112 with 26918 springs, stock retainers and chromoly pushrods? Will this setup work ok and not break anything? Will I need to change my timing chain or will it work with the stock chain? I'm trying to swap as cheap as possible.

I'd swap it out. For several reasons. Every cam creates different harmonics in the associated hardware. The stock chain is sloppy, sloppy enough it *can* retard timing. The Rollmaster double-roller is cheap insurance...

Whatever you do, make damn sure you have a harmonic balancer on yer crank (not just a pulley)!

sounds like a stout setup, I dont see why they wouldn't work..........my 918's take the abuse from a 591/591 226/226 112 cam, no problems here....on the timing chain issue if you are in there I would change it but if you want to keep it cheap and you have low milage on the chain you can leave it in there. Goodluck
