TSP GIant cam and My Ws6 Vids
I had a ls1 347 with an ms3, it was good, not to bad for a daily driver. I am now building a 402 6.0L. I Have purchased everything through TSP and I got their stage 3 prc heads, valves 2.08 / 1.60. Im looking to get their Giant cam 248/254, .611"/.613. I don't want anything to crazy, how do yall think that will work. Do you think it will be close to what I had before. I got diamond flat top -2cc. What about clearence???
Thanks guys! Heres a link to some of my vids on my old setup

That evo is sick! damn.
But regarding your setup... close to what? you had a built 347 w/ms3 and a 200shot? Figure you might make about 550whp NA with the 402. You should've been around 620whp with your old setup on the spray.... Your old setup would no doubt be faster if you are not spraying the 402.

The texas giant (same cam I have) is about equivelent to the 233 / 239 in a bigger cubed motor. My honest opinion (and this isnt to bash tsp) I want to change this cam due to low tq numbers. With my old setup before I bored this motor out bigger (420 ci) I did 528 / 490 on a dynojet with a pretty damn good tune. I don't concider 490 rwtq acceptable fo a motor this big. Peak anyway. It still did 416 rwtq at 2300 rpm. I've seen a couple other 402 / 408 combos with this cam that also didnt break 500 rwtq. I've seen other 400+ ci motors with smaller cams do 520 rwtq.
I'm not saying get stuck on peak numbers, cause it's not all about that, but it seems there should be a bit more there....

i have the texas giant in my car and its my daily driver. I put down 508 all motor on the stock ls6 and tb. its a big cam but i wouldnt go much smaller if you want to see some good numbers. Also be careful with ure ls6 heads i just lost mine, the damn boss for the rockers on the drivers side broke completely off the head. Jason at tsp is gonna gimme a new set though so its all good.

Thats an awesome collection of videos, lots of fun to watch, and very well edited. Nice to see some race vids that aren't just dark blurs, audio provided by the radio in the car, and too shakey to even make out which dark blur won. Very nice!
