Ok, so I've narrowed it down to the TR224 or TR220 at 114 LSA. Which one should I choose and why? I know this is a popular topic but few ever mention exactly why to choose between these two.
I have a '99 C5, stock heads, LS6 intake, headers, stock programming.

Why do you want the 114LSA?
I love my 224-112 in my A4 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I doubt you gain much by going to the 224 over the 220, just depends if you want to spin the motor a little higher for 3-5 more hp..

Going with the 114 LSA for emissions and idle, trying to get away with stock programming for a short while, and after hearing the 112 LSA 224, that's more lope at idle than I want <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I would go with the 224. No reason not to go bigger. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

If it was NastyC5's, keep in mind that he does not have cats on his car. I'm not sure what mufflers he is running.
Right now, I am leaning towards the TR224 on a 112LSA. Someone posted that it will be hard to distinguish from stock at idle, if you keep the cats and stock exhaust. Not many people do that, but I plan to.

I was told by Thunder Racing that the 220/114 will make around 35 RWHP and the 224/220 will make around 45 RWHP when used in a stock head application. They also said you have to shift around 200 to 300 RPM higher with the 224/114
I myself do not really want to spin the motor higher than 6500 RPM and I have decided to go with the 220/114.
