No A/C after heads and cam.
It's finally getting hot here in michigan and I just tryed my ac since last summer and a few weeks after my heads and cam install and I get no cold air coming out the vents just air about the same temp as outside. What can cause this and is it related to the cam.

Re: No A/C after heads and cam.
Be certain to evacuate the A/C system before recharging it!! If not you WILL have problems down the road and have to replace your evaporator. To evacuate means pulling a strong vacuum on the system for about an hour to boil the moisture that was introduced when the system was taken apart....The moisture reacts with something in freon to make acid which will eat your system from the inside.

Re: No A/C after heads and cam.
Cantdrv is correct.
If you pay the dealership to recharge your A/C they will do that.
First a vacuum to boil out any moisture.
Then they'll recharge with R134a and A/C Oil.
Once it's recharged you won't have any problems.

But if you already uncorked the system have it evac'd and recharged. There is a possibility that a small pinhole could have developed in one of the lines over time. I had a line blow on my 94 Cadi Limo.... and boy did it blow. At first I thought it was the radiator overheating.
