well from all the ls1 shops ive heard about jpr is the closest one so i was wondering what kind of numbers his h/c combos were getting and if anyone has had any bad experiences? i havent heard anything bad but im just checking things out.
I had and still have the quickest JPR H/C setup to date,It ran 11.43@117 at a RW of 3552lbs in -1700 Da's.Car ran beautifully.
I since switch to a S2X package from Cartek since at the time Joe wasnt really working on S2 as of yet.
He has since done a few S2 cars and has made good HP/TQ but none of them have beat my old JPR S1/224 setup.
But rest assured my old ET will be a history once Bob2of3,Bear and the rest of the newer JPR setups get setup properly.
Joe has a couple tricks up his sleeve that I'm sure of. His stuff is good.

Joe Prince is a great guy who does excellent work. My S1 combo dynod 415/392sae and ran 12.22@118.1 with Joe driving and a 2.09 60', he can't figure out how to 60' my car (Sorry Joe ) I have run 12.22@116 with a 1.90-2.0 60', I can launch the car a bit better but I can't shift it down the track We are running with nittos, stock gears, in complete street trim. We just found out this was all done on very bad stock lifters. Soo, Tomcat is currently back with Joe for an attitude adjustment
Anyway, I can't say enough great things about JPR... he has gone above and beyond for us, and I have learned a lot in the process.

All I will say is do your homework before you make your decision. Don't pick a package based on what shop is closest to you. Talk to the shops directly. Get into the specifics, examples flow #'s, dyno results, track results w/weight of vehicle, and don't be afraid to ask for proof. After you talk with them directly do a search for any topics related to them and see if he/they made any contradicting statements. Based on my findings, I would not buy anything from JPR, but that is my opinion.

well the shop being close to me is just about the only way i could do it seeing as i cant just drive to canada or texas whenever i feel like it but what have you found about jpr thats bad? so far in this thread everyone raves about him?
I know several satisfied customers of his, and have been reading about Joe Prince a long time (in print and internet). Even the guy that changed shops has good things to say about Joe Prince customer service.
P.S I am not a shill or customer of his (yet)

I have Joe's S2 haeads and a thunder cam that maid 388RWHP and 432RWTQ(@4400). The car feels reel strong. that # was with just Maft -T tuning. not edit. with edit it will pick up some more. Joes customer relations are awsome. he returns calls fast returns emails as quick. i have had him on the phone many times asking repetative questions and he will answer them all. Joe is great. i would send familly to joe to get stuff. and thats saying alot.
Yup you don't have to take our word for it. You can do your research on people who have worked and dealt with JPR directly, and you will find that Joe's customers are very happy and his customer service is top notch

I met Joe last Summer, he was doing a friends car, Stand up guy, great head work, definatly knows LS1's. I'm going with his Heads, a TR 220 112 cam and his awesome tuning.
Your going to be hard pressed to find somebody with his repution, his insight, his knowledge, and his customer service.

To the people doubting or question his HP claims, Joe encourages the customers to attend their dyno tune sessions.
Joe has used several different independant dyno shops with repeatable results at every shop.
I too am a JPR customer and am very impressed with his customer service and genuine concern for every one of his projects.

Joe is a great guy to get work done by. While i don't run his heads he did put in my cam and tune the car for me. His service and knowlegde in my opion are second to none. He will make sure you are happy when all things are done. His heads are making some really impressive power. When i scrap togther enough $$$$ I will be going with heads from Joe myself. Give him a call he would be more than happy to talk to you i am sure.
I've not seen any negative press related to Joe and his work, and from what it appears he is truly a great customer service oriented guy. Having an excellent shop nearby is ALWAYS a benefit in my opinion.
I'm going to move this thread to the sponsor's section since it doesn't have anything to do with internal engine tech.
Thanks,
