Terry,
I was able to glance at your last post re: your new dyno #'s--something in the neighborhood of 440?
Anyway, if i am not mistaken, less your 229 cam (mine's a 224) and my car's a M6, you're really punchin' out some high figures. I upgraded my exhaust to hooker LT's with spin tech's catback and I still cannot break 400 rwhp! I just do not get it?! I've got MMS' S2 heads, 224 cam, TB, GMAF, lid, and LT's w/3" catback and tuning. It's really making me wonder a few things. I was trying to find your other posts to learn about what adjustments gave you the additional gaines.
I'm not too far from you and I am pending an appt w/MMS more dyno tuning. Thanks for any info!

If Terry would post his messages without the flames or for the act instigating flames, those threads would not have been deleted.

Terry does not play well with others

Terry,
..thanks for the response.
The car has no cats and I've got Hooker's ORP,
3.73's, and no UD pulley. As far as all the other tuning details, I do not know. MMS did not disclose. I don't get any pinging either. Maybe when my car is finally at MMS you can check it out or something? I don't know what other details I can go over. Thanks again!

Terry I see the post got deleted.I looked at your dyno sheet. It seems we are very close in power. That was good info by the way.

Anyway,I still find u humorous in alot of ways.
1. U knocked me for having a car that peaks at 6500,but yours peaks at 6450.

2.U gutted your car JUST LIKE ME and then insulted me for gutting mine.I got news for u yours is more gutted than mine,I still have both air bags, real carpet and a glove box and factoy hood, real brakes that work

3.U run an EWP.
Gotta be worth something?

4.That fact is your car is 300+lbs lighter than mine but I do run in better air.So its close but I'd rather have weight-loss than a good DA.

5.I do run LS6 heads but u run a BIG cam and I run less CR than you do.So again its a toss up.

6.U continue to knock people for doing certain things to there cars and then u go and do the same mods to yours too?

7.I know its all in fun but why knock Cartek
Theyve done nothing to u.No reason to attack them Terry.

8.I looked at our dyno sheets and if I scanned the 2 of them side by side they would be so close to it would be scary.

9,I run 4.56/28 and u run 4.10/26 theres a 211 rpm difference in my favor plus alittle more rollout. Not too big of an advantage as u make it to be Terry.

So I never got that answer,U take both cars that are VERY close and u run mine at say 3500 and yours at 3200.

Whats the ET difference?
Come on at least humor me alittle.

I feel 10.95 is realistic for my car once I get some seat time in her,a fair DA of say +500 ft and some sups. tweeking, shift points dialed in etc.....

Good luck Terry with the car,It should fly.
But do me a favor,Knock me all u want but leave Cartek outta it.

Thanx
JS

If I was able to get my 1.52 60' time down to a 1.45 with better traction, I'd pick up ~.1th. If I were able to get my 1000+' DA down to ~-500, I'd pick up another .1ths. All else being equal it looks like we're making about the same power (and the dyno charts reinforce that theory). Again my argument has always been I'm getting a lot more power for less.

Terry ,how many passes have u made since your cars been built to actually run a 10.98?
20,30 or perhaps up to 100?I have 15 runs on my car since being built.

I think the reason my car peaks higher is poss. LS6 Head.

Cartek does have the Z cam and it does peak lower and its in use as we speak.

If u open the High Tech Pontiac you'll see 6500 peak,it just carries almost the same hp to 7000,just like your does.Or do a search on the eastern forum,My dyno sheet shows its 6500.

No bullshit Terry its a 224-580 on a 113.
The Z cam is getting tested.I might wanna go with a cam change just like u did,Remember?

FWIW the X package is not that $$$$
Its not 10 grand like u have always babbled.

Thanx for not bringing Cartek into this post.
I dont mind u breaking my *****,just leave them out of it.

U did answer my question but u were 3300 at the time of your run,I was 3598.Thats alittle more than 200 lbs.Its 2.5 tenths easy.

I never claimed to have a street car.For god sakes JPR saw me trailer it into Atco. And u have the same darn slash race/street car that I do.Call a spade a spade. Now that I put new tires up front/back its a joy to drive.

I'm hooking the PS back up soon.It worth nadda in ther 1/4.IMO its not worth the hassle unless u are on the 11.00000 bump.

It would be fun to run each other win or lose.
Do u think u might make an event anywhere?

If not are paths will cross.Good luck at the 10.67 of Raughs, its gonna take alot of luck with the air u have out in Cali.

I'm waiting to layeth the smack down in Oct.
Atco will be at -1000 many nights

..ttt

anyone else wanna take a stab? These Hooker LT's and catback are much louder than I expected! I was surprised to see the O2's are positioned outside the collector vs inside or on top.
I hope from here it'll just be a matter of tuning.
Thanks.

1BLK You should be in the 415-420rwhp range, where are you now? Which MAF are you running? I'd buy an UD pulley, easy .1ths at the track, with no side effects.

Terry,
If you're in Simi, I am not too far. I am in Studio City. Hopefully MMS can squeeze me in sometime next week to dyno. I dont think an UD is worth the small gains. I'll just have to wait and see what a re-tune punches out. I am still using the stock flywheel and clutch. If anything, those two things will be the very last things I upgrade. I hope to be able to stand-in when the car gets tuned.

1blkss, i would install a 3" cutout on each side of the y pipe, just before it turns. I picked up 14 rwhp over my 3.5" mufflex. Very easy to uncork at the track.
