HOT CAM????
Sure, you can get the complete hot cam kit cheaper than you can a proprietary grind with springs and pushrods, but I think you'll be quite a bit happier with something else. You could get away with the 220/220 cam and an HPP3 for a raised limiter and shift points with stock tuning on an A4, but the hot cam will be more difficult w/ stock tuning. Click here to hear a sound clip of the TR 220/220 on a 114 LSA through a wide-open Borla and stock exhaust manifolds. It was posted up by another board member ("camss") in another thread.
*EDIT* I just saw in your sig that you have an A4 with a stock torque converter. I would HIGHLY recommend swapping your converter before you do a cam swap. It will make the cam a LOT more livable, and you'll see a better gain from a quality converter than you will a cam. Yank and Vigilante both make a great torque converter, and that's what I'd recommend doing first. You need to have your car working further up in its powerband before you add a cam, otherwise you could be disappointed with your ET results from the swap.

thanks for the reply. i'm having to get a new tranny and i'm going with a bigger converter as we speak. (probably a vig2800 or something like it). I like the lopey idle. what would have to be done pcm wise, to make it work? So the tr224 cam with the 114 lsa will be easier on emmisions? i hate to ask, but what is "lsa"? i'm not real good at the cam specs. i really appreciate all your help man. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Hotcam for my setup and been great. I have
16,000 miles on the kit and had no problems,
with A4 transmission you will have some idle
problems..
