I think the 9.95 vette was on the juice not NA. Also weight reduction plays a part in all the times so does getting a good launch and not spinning.

Abdullah - MTI's 9-second Camaro (Colonel's car) is naturally-aspirated. The C5's that have run 9's have been running a TNT nitrous kit to get into the 9's. Setups can vary a LOT, even within a shop. You can go with a nice middle-of-the-road cam and a set of stage 3 ported LS1 heads, or you can go on the wild side with the cam and have a set of LS6 heads ported. It's all in which heads and camshaft they decide to go with. As for shop to shop, results will vary.
When you look at timeslips, you need to consider weight, tires used, driving experience, weather, and the power being made. I've seen more than one super-stroker make only 460 RWHP from some shops while others like MTI will consistently belt out 500+ RWHP with the tamest of setups.

Are you saying the same car ran 9.90's N/A and on the bottle? The only 9-second N/A LS1 that I know of to roll out of MTI is Colonel's car. The C5 guys usually like to keep all of their comfort mods. They want to have their cake and eat it, too.

My car is the only MTI LS1 to run 9s on motor.
Abdulla, power is only a small part of the ET equation. You gotta harness and channel that power efficiently to get the good ET.

Waaay too many variables to consider between all these cars.
1. Those C5s that run 9s are on nitrous
2. The C5s are fully-loaded street cars, two out of three with huge stereo systems. All three are 6-speeds with stock suspension.
3. My car runs mid-10s with the big motor because I'm about 620 lbs heavier than Colonel's raceweight and ran in hot weather. My car is a 6-speed. Our motors make about the same power, just different car setups and weight.
4. I'll run 9s too, either with a severe weight reduction or with some nitrous and stay fully loaded

Abdullah,
The main factors are the actual heads and cams on the 422 in question along with the weight and the drag race type setup the car in question has like convertor and slicks etc.
