Default BIG BAD CAM

What is the biggest baddest cam anyone is using on this site on a 346 HC car and how much are you making and at what RPM. Torque would be nice to I just want to see how big is big to you guys.

The 346 engine I'm building right now has a 232/232 .574/.574 112 camshaft <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

just waiting on my heads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

But remember if it's on Fireball's car it is way to extreme for the average person. LOL

I found out the hard way bigger is not always better. Even though my cam is by now way huge, but I made more tq with my T1..

In my case bigger WAS better. The first cam in my car was accidentally put in there (dealer sent wrong cam) it was a 218/220 .525/.535 111 LSA cam, with heads and no tuning it put out a weak 382 rwhp and 367 rwtq. When I got my 227/227 .591/.591 113 LSA cam my car dynoed 420 rwhp and 400 rwtq wqith no tuning <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Of course my setup from the beginning was made for that big cam (5.3L heads, 1 7/8 headers, etc.) But that's almost a 40 rwhp gain from a cam swap. I thinking we could even do a 230/235 .595/.595 114 LSA cam on my motor next <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
