Default need some info regarding oil pumps

I'm adding the Double Roller timing set the 2nd week of July.
Julio/Dave want to add it for safety.

I was wondering about an oil pump as well?
I have 38psi HOT in 90 degree weather at idle and up to 70psi under WOT.I'm going to the timing set so should I go new pump too?

Unless u guys think my psi is okay.
Then I'd leave it alone?

Here are my other options if I change it.
Stock 02 LS6 pump or Modded pump?
Which one and would u do?

Anyone with experience please help.
F-body Nats here I come <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I had the same quandry. I am in the middle of a heads/cam/intake swap right now.

My stock pump puts out the same psi as yours and has been working just fine but I had too many people say dude your already down there just do it. I had 55k on the stock pump so I went for the Katech ported pump. What' another $110 right <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

JS..What year is your car?

If it's a 98-99..Change it for sure.
00-02 - iffy.

What's another $110 for a little insurance.

Btw I went with the Katech too.

What's Katech's number?

Thanks,

Mike.

JS is the motor being pulled? When I talked with Dave at Cartek they told me they only install the double roller if the motor is coming out. Something with the install of the double roller timing set and the pickup tube (I think?).
