Cheap stroker cranks coming! Also stroke Q?
Aslo, next year they are offering Billet 4340 LS1 cranks, your choice of stroke for under A$3,000 = US$1,660 !!
I will let everyone know as soon as the Nodular crank is available. They are not selling through USA outlets, so either direct from them or someone like us (race team).
Also, now that a Billet 4340 crank with any offset you want as special order can be had for under US$1,660, what is the maximum stroke you could go?? I know Lunati makes 4.25", but can you go to 4.375" or 4.5"??
Anybody who might know??
Thanks, Cheers.

I think Lunati has it about right. Not only are there clearance issues with higher strokes but rod to stroke ratios start to become too extreme for street use with extremely high strokes (piston velocity very high, too much side loading of the piston/cylinder which causes premature wear.)

well to my knowledge, our stock cranks are good to about 600 HP right? doesnt seem like it would be worth it unless you get the forged crank. JMHO

This is a STROKER crank! 4" stroke. Also good to at least 800 ponies.
If your sticking to 346 cubes, fine, it will take 600 HP as you said, but I haven't seen/heard of too many 600 HP 346 cube LS1's around.
So if you want a stroker engine, this is $840 + freight.
When they are ready, we are setting up a freight program to LA, Dallas & Chicago. have three buddies in those locations. Will post it here on the board towards Xmas when they become available. That will be $840 + seafreight etc. Still cheap! Cheers.

Image using this crank in Big Bore 382 to make a 420+ out of it for just $850.

that's US$850 from Melbourne, Australia. You still have to get it to the USA!! Still, it will be cheaper than whats out there now. As above, we will be shipping to LA, Dallas & Chicago once their available....

You need aftermarket pistons with a stroker crank!! can't use the stock pistons, as they will protrude out of the bore, lots!!
ALSO< ANYONE who thinks they want one, please post here, so we can get an idea of numbers.
remember, it will be a bit higher due to freight from Melbourne to Sydney, then freight to the USA, plus any USDuty, taxes, etc plus customs broker fees. Still, it will be cheap.
Let us know. If not too many people want them, then it might not be worth us doing it, hence you'd have to buy direct from Melbourne Australia and organise your own freight, customs, etc. We do that all the time though.
Cheers

I'd say a fresh block, this crank, and a nice piston/rod combo could be pretty nice on juice. $550+$900+$1800=fun on the cheap.
What displacement would a 4" or 4.125" crank make on the stock bore??
4.125 crank
would be approx 395ci
Cheers,
Chris
ps- With a 4.15 bore and a 4.125 crank you are looking at 446ci
Will Race how is your drag car coming along, I hear the new SWID is now due sometime near next year
hows your beast going
AUS low volume high quality manufacturing
How much would a 402 (nice square 4" bore and stroke) short-block cost, if used an iron block, and this nodular iron crank?
You could probably get the whole short block (assembled) for the price of the lunati crank, if you used the stock rods.
