back in the day when springs were made from tool steel, you had to heat cycle them. racers used to do the oven thing to cycle the material. todays spring metals do not require heat cycling of any kind.

Well call some of the LS1 pro tuner shops so they can tell you your wrong. Most of them burp the cooling system then strap it down.

On my old car I was worried about the very same thing. It went STRAIGHT from reassembley to the dyno, reaching RPMS of 6500+. The car was just fine untill I sold it 25K later.
Its like a serious racing buddy of mine said one time: "Parts wear OUT, they dont wear IN."
