Chalk up another for a daily driven heads cam car. I would agree with Patrick, tuning is key...Not just WOT tuning like some shops will do on the dyno to show you what there changes made before they send you on your way, but good tuning BASE as well as WOT. This happened to me in the past. Just my 2 cents. Good luck on making a desicion.

I have a cam, no heads as of yet. The car drives great everywhere, should be even better when I get the stall converter in.
Gas mileage isn't the best, it needs to be retuned since I put the headers on. I expect about normal MPG when it is tuned correctly.

I drive my T/A every day, rain or shine. Only mode of transportation. GTP Stage II heads, Thunder 224 cam, Vig 3200, 3:73 gears and an A4 with custom tuning of course. Next up bigger cam, thinking about that FAStech F1 reverse split 230/226 on a 112 LSA. WOO HOO, give me more HP's.

Re: How many of you have a H/C daily driver?
My car has been a H/C daily driver since the car had 10K on it over 2 years ago.
I drive the car everyday (80 mile round trip to work)
I had over 60K on my stock shortblock before I went through it and put new rings and bearings in it.
I am now running the FAStech F1 cam by the way, numbers are in the sig
