Default Gtp PIG

cam i install the gtp pig camshaft in a stock motor with out computer mods?. i know the valve springs need to be updated. just wondering if it will work. thanks guys...

Yes, you can run that cam in a stock motor. However, you really need to bump your revlimiter to at least 6600 to take full advantage of the cam.

man thats one high revin poor idling cam. idle needs to be at 1050-1100 and shifting at 6800-6900

Don't mean to dig up old posts..but, I'm looking into the GTP Stage 2 heads, and Pig cam. What's so "poor" about the idle? I remember a buddy of mine had it in his '98 z28 m6..and, it was a VERY choppy cam...and, he had alot of surging problems..but, I've seen every one else who has it..and their cars idle perty nicely.

Do the CC 918 Springs handle the cam fine? Or, would you go a different direction spring wise?
