Default MTI's engine program for LT1

What happened to MTI's LT1 engine programs? Their site now only lists LS1/LS6 performance goodies.

The poor LT1 is being forgotten.

If MTI is really out of the LT1 business, then could someone suggest another company for my LT1 needs?

your on your own. . Honestly I found when I built mine that you have to do most of the research on your own now. The lt1 seems to have been forgotten and most of the sponsors on this site and others aren't doing any more development work/R&D. They will help you if you call and want parts but that is about it. Welcome to my world. Yes..your right. My most shops the poor lt1 has been forgotten. I personally use thunder racing to get my stuff but I'm sure MTI will still sell you parts and would prolly still build you an engine. There are some shops out there doing BIG things with the lt1 both NA and with power adders. I don't think many if any are on this site. Madman runs an lt1 in his car so thats a thought.

On a side note...there are some people doing some pretty interesting turbo development for us.

LT1's are still alive and kicking - you just have to know where to look. I know Speed Demon Motorsports - a sponsor on this board - does quite a bit of LT1 work - but then, I am biased

And ChrisB, thanks for not forgetting (or out right ignoring) us LT1 guys ... unlike some other people .

If all goes accrodingly, I'll be seeing you soon.

MTI has been so slammed with LS1 work, that they typically have to turn away LT1 stuff. They can still order any parts you need, but LT1 parts sales have been steadily going downhill as well.

Thats okay, they don't work on Mustangs either

Madman & Co. Racing would be a good place to go. Brian has an LT1 in his car and currently holds a few records for fastest LT1. He showed me his camaro and said it will run 8.5's all day long. Try to talk to him, he'll know what to do. He's done some work on my car so I know he does great work.

Nu-Tek Motorsports is making a pretty good name for themselves lately with some of the stroker LT1's they've been putting out.

If you are looking for LT1 stuff go to www.camaroz28.com,, this obviously isn't the best place for LT1 info.

Seriously..I think thunder is the same. They have so much ls1 stuff that I rairly see the lt1s in there being worked on. I know they still accept work on them but it is pretty rare from what I've seen. Maybe us lt1 guys are just better at working on our own chit.
