Default High RPM blowby?

I put a TR 224 in 2 months ago and now I get high RPM blowby. Is this a normal PCV problem because of the extra force pushing the oil into the line.

Or did it blow a ring somewhere. I dont think I am losin any power. I gained 4 full tenths with the cam and 3 MPH.

Any insight guys?

Thanx, Stu

Sounds like you have stock pcv system and if you rev motor higher it will churn up more oil into system, if it was a ring seal blowby problem you would lose power when it was happening. This is called ring flutter. I would add oil/water seperator in line from intake port to pcv valve to eliminate oil consumption. It has worked 100% for me , Campbell Hausfield sells a perfect small one at Auto Zones. Try it, and go racing!

Thanks alot man.....I took the PCV valve out to look at it and the hose was slap dab full of oil.

Just for a temporary thing I put a piece of cloth up stream of the PCV and not a bit of smoke.

Thanks, Stu

It may have something to do with the stock rotating assembly not being built with components that work very well at high revs, also. The valve guides could also be the problem. I know on some engines you can restrict oil to the cylinder head area, because of this. Oil still gets there just not so much that you over kill. They build to minimum standards to cut cost.

She idles like a kitten in park and neutral but when you put it in gear it surges like crazy.

I have drilled the Tbody hole and even played with the set screw but no luck. I am pretty sure it will get better when I get EDIT and raise the in gear desired idle to 800.

The biggest problem I have is when it rolls forward the idle jumps to 1400 and falls back down when she is stopped. It does this when in neutral and it rolls downhill and in gear when you let off the brake. This confuses me the most.
