What ever was the cause of the chirping noise coming from your engine..did you ever figure it out..???

its the Lucas.. and i see the poster is avoiding acknowledging what people say about it.

you need to seafoam your car (i just did it, and there is a great write up about it in the General Engine section, there is a sticky at the top called "how to seafoam your car") this will help get that lucas crap out of there.. and if i were you.. i would do it twice to make sure..

also you need a magnetic drain plug to show metal in the oil, not the filter..

Curious to hear the verdict. One thing to consider is that if a main is spun, it can squeak and sound like a belt noise. Additionally, you will most likely have oil pressure when the oil is cool, but the friction generated from the bearing now eating itself along with the crank super heats the oil which gets so hot it thins way out and the oil pressure drops accordingly. Not sure if that is whats up, and I cant listen to the video, but it is just one more possibility.

ITS THE LUCAS! How many people need to say it, Seafoam your **** and change your oil, I have seen lucas **** up a lot of cars!! DONT TRUST THAT CRAP! Like stated befroe if it helped it would be in the oil!

Lots of posters with opinions but not hearing anything from the guy with the chirping noise..he is the only one I want to hear from..I've got an opinion too but that is irrelivant..I'm just looking for the facts .. patience grass hoppers .. the original poster might have a job where he does not have internet access in the day time ..

Hey, thanks for everyones replies, The bearing did spin on me. So now its time to go forged >:-D So now the car is going into storage :-( until I get some funds.

My buddy put lucas oil additive into his brand new ls4 monte carlo. About ten minutes of running and the engine starting knocking slightly. Needless to say we pulled that **** out of the engine.
