Default GTP SII Heads & TR224 Dyno...THANKS ls1tech.com

My car was recently finished by Speed Inc with the following mods:

GTP 5.7L Stage II heads (918s Titanium Retainers) (milled .030")
TR 224/112 cam
TR Ported TB
FLPs - running offroads
LS6 Intake (removed Air system & EGR)
ASP Crank Pulley
Rollmaster Double Row Timing Chain
ARE Ported Oil Pump
Speed Inc. Computer Tuned
GMMG Catback
MTI Lid

Before: 326rwhp/339rwtq (SAE)
After: 421rwhp/404rwtq (SAE)

Before dyno was done in low 70 degree temps and lower humidity.
After dyno was done in low 90 degree temps with higher humidity.

Car: 99 WS6 M6, stock 10 bolt with 3.42s, WS6 wheels with 28 psi.

Its taken me 2 1/2 years to get here and I'm very happy, the car idles very well and has ample torque everywhere as well as an incredible 4000 rpm rush.
It's a great street car! I will be taking it to the track but I need to get a 12 bolt
(can't afford to break rear right now) and deeper gears.

I just wanted to thank everyone at ls1tech.com for helping me get here. I have learned so much from you guys and I know my mods would not have been near this good without your help and education. Your knowledge has been invaluable to me THANKS!!!!

SPECIAL THANKS to Jason99T/A, MattG, PSJ, Chris Tesinsky, Norm Brandes, JSears, and GreggerSS for all your help. I really appreciate all the answers to my e-mails. You guys helped me figure it all out! John, Chris, and Greg thanks for the rides! One ride is worth a 1000 words and it really changed my opinions on cam size and gears.

Also Thanks to these sponsors for all their help. Thunder Racing, Cartek, ARE, Rapid Motorsports, and Speed Inc.

Mike

Thanks guys!!

I'm pretty psyched

Tony, best thing on the net

Verbs, I do have a crank pulley but no cutout or alum flywheel. Maybe a cutout would give another 10+rwhp, I will probably put one in for the track.

Ryan, I am fortunate that's for sure but there were issues - things didn't fall exactly into place. But they are resolved and I'm moving on!

TT, As soon as funds are available for my 12bolt I will be there. Just can't afford to grenade my rear just yet

Glad it's all worked out for you.

Seems like a long time since I took you for a ride in Dragula.

Did you ever figure out your oil pressure issue?

Thanks guys.

John, yeah it seems like forever ago. Lots of hurdles to climb since then (economy, etc...). That was an amazing day . My wife thinks I'm nuts LOL! Thanks for your help its appreciated.

Jason, yeah I really analyzed the hell out of it . Thanks man!

akw408, it was the oil pump. Speed Inc swapped it out and all is well. Great oil pressure now. I didn't drive the car hardly at all when the oil pressure was low. Now I can't stay out of the throttle

When completely up to operating temp (oil temp is up) then it idles around 45 but will not dip below that at all ever. Cruising around is about 60 psi (at full temp) and wot is around 75ish. Its never pegged. I am very happy with these pressures.

I can't be sure that it was the pump and not the install. But Speed Inc does pump replacements all the time, but if the pickup tube is not seated correctly with the o-ring then the result are very similar to what I had. I don't know enough about the internals of the oil pump to know why a pump would have low output.

Great numbers. I'm planning on adding the same heads/cam setup next year. I hope to see #'s close to yours. Start pinching pennies and get the 12bolt and hit the track.

bad ***!!! Not a very high compression either!! No pullies, cutouts, alum flywheels, etc....

Very nice!!! I bet you could easily add 20rwhp to that total with some more bolt ons!
