Exclamation HELP ASAP!!!Where are all the bolts to lower the oil pan?

Ok, so Ive run into my first(and thus far only) problem. Im trying to drop the oil pan 1/2in like it says in the how to thread, but I cant seem to find all the bolts or something because the damn oil pan wont move! Ive got 10, 10mm bolts loosened about a centemeter. The write up says there are some 8mm..Where are they? This is aggitating me. Somthing so simple is givin me such hell....

The two mounted on the lowest point of the pan by the tranny? Yeah, got them. It says that you may have to pry, but I pulled pretty hard and I dont wanna crack the pan. SURELY, Im missing a bolt or two. How many are there total?

The pan is probably just stuck on there real good, give it a few hits with something non-metallic.

You wont crack the pan, it is a tough thick pan, they desinged it to be tough in order to actually add to the stength of the block.

Considering I just bolted my pan back up today you would think i would know, but i dont remember if there are 10 or 12 of the smaller bolts but i really want to say 10 smaller bolts and then the 2 long ones in the back.

The number in my head is 12 if I remember right. You are probably missing the 2 above the k-member.

Don't two of the bellhousing bolts bolt into the oil pan? I thought I remembered it being like that on mine, but I haven't been underneath that part of my car in a while..

I seam to remember two in the back, up kind of high. I don't remember if they were into the bell houseing or not, but I think I did need to remove the oil filter to get to the one on the drivers side.

There are 2 bolts right next to the 2 long ones in the back too, make sure you check there.

Brad, those must be the ones Im missing. Are all the required bolts vertical? It looks like there are 2 12mm bolts going from the bellhousing into the oil pan, horizontally.

There are 12 bolts that hold the pan on not including the two long, skinney, bolts at the back. There are two more larger bolts at the bottom of the bellhousing that do attach to the oil pan.

16 total
