Default Cam bearings

While cleaning and dissassembling my engine today I noticed that the front cam bearing doesn't look too good.What do I need to change my cam bearings and how do I do it?

you need a cam bearing install tool. A good one costs close to $300 (I think). I really dont think It would be possible to do it while the engine was in the vehicle, so you will have to have the engine out and all. Not trying to imply that your dumb or anything, but If you dont know what a cam bearing install tool is, maybe you should let someone else install them for you.

The engine is on a stand.I'm doing the rod bearings and bolts.I'm just looking for some guidance from some people who are experienced with changing cam bearings.

I really would like some help on this.I've tried doing a serch and found nothing.
There is copper showing through and there are deep scratches on the bearig(s)

You could take it to an engine shop and get it done cheaper than the tool cost. Thats what I would do. Since it's out.

If you want to try it yourself check with the auto parts stores, sometimes they rent the cam bearing drivers. Just make sure you look at the paperwork with the bearings, they are not all the same O.D. and won't work if you put them in the wrong bores. Most shops would charge 50-70 bucks to do this for you as it's about a 30-45 minute job.
