took me all weekend taking my time, doing it
the first time.
It was fun actually, more fun than the headers
which was more work I think.

I've go it down to 8 hours. 5 w/o changing springs. I've done 2 camaros, and one Z06. The vettes are MUCH HARDER due to the fact that you have to basically disconnect the whole front end. Steering rack and all. I'll stick with the F-Body's

Recently Andy @ A&A Corvettes swapped his cam in 3 hours.
Of course it was the ninth or tenth time he's changed it in the last six months. He said he just wanted to see how each cam would perform.

The cam swap itself, is a piece of cake. Even on your first time, you should be able to knock it out in 3 hours or so
The valve springs on the other hand....well, that's a different story . The driverside can be done in about 50 minutes, but the passengerside is a fuking PITA....specifically the last 2 cylinders (under the cowl). So count on spending 1.5 hours AT LEAST on that side.
Overall, the whole job is not that hard. Just take your time and have fun with it.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm not going to be able to start until Saturday night and I need to finish on Sunday. It looks like that is plenty of time though!

just did mine today with a friends big help!!
started at 8am and finished up at 7pm... but we changed valve springs and pushrods also.. little things always get in the way and kill time.. But roughly it would take all day to as little as 3-4 hours
