TRUE or FALSE: All GM motors are non-interference motors?
Non-interference meaning valve-to-piston contact can NEVER happen.....assuming a stock setup.
If TRUE, then why did that occur on my '94 Cavalier after the timing chain tensioner failed?

The 3L V6 used in Saturn is an "interference" engine, I believe, and not offered with manual, perhaps for that reason...except maybe by Opel.
FWIW, many "non-interference" engines use cog belts to drive the cams. Belts tend to skip teeth when they wear excessively, or break. Chains stretch, but rarely skip teeth or break.
There are others, but one disproves the claim.
Rarely does "all" or "none" apply in life, and in things mechanical. IMO, those who make such claims only see black and white when there are so many shades of gray.
