Default TR 230 on stock manifolds with no tuning will it even run?

Well, I jumped on the GP for the Thunder Racing cam at the begining of this summer. To make a long story short, due to having to wait an insane amount of time to recieve some parts from a sponcer only to have them be destoryed when they arived I haven't been able to get my cam installed.

As of right now, the way it looks is I'm going to have to move back to Austin before I get all the necessary parts for my swap. The main problem is that I was planing on having the car tuned at Thunder Racing, which is about 3 hours from my home in Port Neches; however, is WAY to far to drive from Austin.

So what I want to know, is if I install my cam before I get my headers and programing will it run or will it be too choked up to idle. It's a '98 Z28 M6 with all the basic bolt ons. I'll get the headers on the car as soon as they arive. But when I'll be able to get tuning is unknown. Will my car run with a TR 230 with no tuning? Or will it be in my best interest to wait?

i'd say wait for the headers and such and do it all at the same time. Also, half of the sponors on this board are in Texas, haha

That's what I was thinking about waiting for the headers; however, I'm not how many tools I'll have access to in Austin. I know most of the sponcers are in Texas; however, Geoff at Thunder is an excellent tuner, and his price for dyno tuning with a wide band is WELL under what most other charge.

I guess I just need to know how a TR230 will run on a stock programed M6 Z28.
