Default LS6 intake install questions.

Is it absolutely necessary to replace the coolant lines on a 98-00 ls1 qith new lines when you install an ls6 intake? I didn't change my coolant lines and it seems to be fine. What should I look for as possible problems? I've never seen the different coolant lines so I don't know what their purpose even is.

I thought that if you used your old coolant lines (98-00) the LS6 manifold wouldn't fit. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I slapped it on, went to the dyno, and pulled 392hp on a 95degree summer day. I'm just wondering since mine is on and fitting, what the new coolant lines do that my old ones don't do as far as making the manifold fit.
